Hi! I’m Emma, the owner and founder of Port City Paws. It’s a pleasure to meet you and an honor to be considered to care for your pets.

I’ve been an animal lover since before I could walk and after attempting to pursue a “normal” career (how boring!) in the corporate world I decided one day that I needed to do something more fulfilling with my life. I had always done pet care on the side- starting in high school and transitioning to using third-party booking sites as a young adult. But doing a full-time passion part-time was not enough. That’s when in 2021 Port City Paws was formally started and if I could go back and start this company sooner- I would! 

I’ve been fortunate to care for hundreds of pets over the last decade and each one of them truly feels like “one of my own” because that's how I love and care for them. I know how important our furry family members are to us and how they’re an intricate part of our everyday lives so being able to care for so many pets has been a dream come true. 

I’ve learned a lot over the last few years being a full-time business owner and entrepreneur and it only gets better with each passing day. I never want to be at a standstill and that’s why continued education through business and pet care-related training is extremely important to me. I believe that bettering myself as a pet care provider only enhances the experience and care I can provide to my clients. I want you to feel confident in myself and my team in our ability to love and care for your pets the way you would. 

When I’m “off the clock” (heck, is that even a thing when you own a business? Haha!) you can find me being a cat mom to my six furballs; Taco, Marty, Finn, Fiona, Rio & Rue, and enjoying the daily blessings life has to offer from friends to family and everything in between. 

I truly am the luckiest person alive to do what I do every day and have it as my “job”. It doesn’t feel like a job at all but more so a passion that allows me to live the life I want. I owe that privilege to my amazing clients who have been the foundation of Port City Paws since 2021. I’m so excited you’re here for the journey and I can’t wait to see where we are headed next.
